Kangan, Oct 14 (KNO): Marking a significant development for the education sector in Kangan constituency, MLA Mian Mehar Ali on Tuesday inaugurated the foundation of a two-storey Government High School building at Hayan area of Kangan.
For a long time, students in Hayan Kangan had been pursuing their studies in a tin-roofed makeshift shed due to the absence of a permanent school building.
The inadequate infrastructure had posed serious challenges for students and teachers alike, while parents had repeatedly voiced their dissatisfaction with the prevailing situation.
As per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the residents had brought this issue to the MLA’s attention during the election period, seeking an immediate solution.
Mian Mehar Ali had pledged to take concrete action, and his recent step to lay the foundation stone has fulfilled that assurance.
MLA Ali said the new school building would mark the beginning of a brighter educational future for the area. “Providing students with a safe, comfortable, and well-equipped learning environment is our collective responsibility. This project reflects our commitment to strengthening the education system at the grassroots level,” he remarked.
